Between 20 and 22 October 2026, Galați, Romania, and Chișinău, Republic of Moldova, will host a series of interconnected international events as part of the ECA Interregional Cluster Conference 2026. The main conference, under the theme “Clusters as Competitiveness Integrators”, will take place in Galați on 21 October and continue in Chișinău on 22 October.
We are sharing this opportunity with the members and partners of Veritas Cluster who may be interested in developing international cooperation, building new partnerships, accessing regional business and innovation ecosystems, and establishing new project and business connections.
Clusters as competitiveness integrators
The initiative focuses on the role of clusters as connectors between businesses, innovation ecosystems, regions and European networks.
The programme begins in Galați on 20 October with a Clusters4Health seminar dedicated to health innovation. On 21 October, the ECA Interregional Cluster Conference, also marking the 15th Romanian National Cluster Conference, will focus on competitiveness, innovation, value-chain resilience, industrial decarbonisation, logistics, SME integration and interregional cooperation.
On 22 October, the programme continues in Chișinău as part of the 2nd Moldovan National Cluster Forum, with a focus on cluster excellence, European integration and the further development of Moldova’s cluster ecosystem.
Partnership and matchmaking opportunities
An important part of the programme will be dedicated to B2B, C2C and C2B matchmaking, organised with the support of the Enterprise Europe Network. The format will provide opportunities for direct meetings between clusters, companies and regional organisations, helping participants identify potential partnerships, joint projects and business opportunities.
This practical focus is particularly relevant to Veritas Cluster members seeking international contacts, internationalisation opportunities, knowledge exchange and participation in new European and interregional partnerships.
To facilitate international participation, organised transport will be available from Bucharest Otopeni Airport to Galați on 20 October and from Galați to Chișinău on 22 October.
